About UsThree members of the Capital Unitarian Universalist Congregation issued a call to action to our congregation to begin organizing to stop global warming. They met with two additional members and together decided that a focus on local action within the Capital Regional District would be most effective. This group planned a series of meetings for members of our congregation and decided to set up a website as an organizing tool. After these initial steps, the group recognized that we were acting as an Environment Committee. On January 21, 2008 the CUUC Board formally recognized the group as the congregational Environment Committee and we continued the work which is listed on the home page.
The Capital Unitarian Universalist Congregation is a small, liberal gathering of people from many backgrounds who meet weekly on Sunday mornings to enrich our personal and spiritual journey with shared values of respect for humanity and the planet.
All are welcome. The Unitarian and Universalist traditions for centuries have been ones of inclusiveness. We welcome people of any age, faith, sexual orientation, or race.
Our Sunday services are held at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday, in the James Bay New Horizons Centre, 234 Menzies Street, Victoria, B.C.
